Background and Objectives
York School District 1 (YSD1) is undertaking a redistricting study to achieve the following objectives:
The district is interested in a process to evaluate and modify attendance boundaries to account for the district’s facilities plan, which is to move to a K-5, 6-8, 9-12 model with standalone PK center
Discontinue York MS, and implement new PK Center
Fall 2027, a New Middle School opens, and York Intermediate becomes a middle school both serving 6-8th grade students
